ECI Recognized with Jaime Bermúdez Cuarón 2024 Award for 40+ Years of Industry Leadership

CIUDAD JUÁREZ, Mexico, November 19, 2024 – Electrical Components International (ECI) was honored with the Jaime Bermúdez Cuarón 2024 Award for 40+ Years of Industry Leadership at the Maquiladora Industry Day, organized by Index Juárez and held at the Cibeles Event Hall in Ciudad Juárez. This event celebrated the significant contributions of the maquiladora industry to the region’s economic development and recognized the achievements of key companies and individuals.

Since its founding in Mexico over 53 years ago, ECI has played a pivotal role in the growth and innovation of the maquiladora sector. The company’s continued leadership in manufacturing electrical components and providing innovative solutions has driven job creation and strengthened the region’s industrial base. The recognition of ECI with the Jaime Bermúdez Cuarón Award underscores the company’s longstanding commitment to excellence and its enduring impact on the local community.

In addition to the 40+ Years of Industry Leadership award, ECI was also recognized in two other categories: “Employees with 35 Years of Service” and “Success Stories,” with a special mention for Francisca Ramírez, who has worked at ECI for 43 years, starting as a production operator. This highlights the company’s dedication not only to its industry leadership but also to fostering the long-term growth of its employees.

Representing ECI at the ceremony was Rocío Sarabia, VP of Human Resources, alongside Paloma Nevárez, Global Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Rocío expressed pride in the company’s achievements and contributions to the region, while Paloma highlighted the company’s commitment to both its people and community. The event also featured the participation of local officials, such as María Teresa Delgado, National Counselor of Index, who highlighted the importance of the maquiladora sector, stating, “Our industry remains the economic pillar of the city, state, and country.” Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, Mayor of Ciudad Juárez, also praised the sector’s strength, noting, “Juárez is recognized internationally for its workforce and leadership in the maquiladora industry.”
